A mining memorial in the shape of a pit wheel is to be unveiled in Dodworth, near Barnsley, commemorating the loss of 288 lives in eight collieries in the area. The unveiling will take place between 10-11am,. The Six Jolly Miners will be performing at the event at 1:15pm. We will be performing the dance, along with a northumbrian pipe performance and the singing of sone mining songs.
